BK Picker · Last updated October 22, 2026

BK Picker is a Windows desktop color utility published by Adrian Tafoya (“we”). This policy explains what the app does with information on your PC.

Summary

BK Picker runs on your computer. It does not create an account, and it does not send screenshots, colors, or history to us.

Information the app processes

Screen color

When you use the eyedropper or the global shortcut, the app reads the color of the pixel under the pointer and a small area around it so it can show the loupe. That sample stays in memory while you pick. The app does not save a screenshot and does not upload the screen.

Images you open

You can sample a color from an image you choose: a file on your disk, a drag-and-drop, or a paste from the clipboard. Those images stay on your device and are used only to read pixel colors. They are not uploaded.

Image addresses you type

If you paste an image URL and choose Load, the app downloads that file with a direct request from your PC to the site that hosts the image. We do not receive the address or the file. That site can see your IP address, the same way it would if you opened the link in a browser. The downloaded image is used only to sample colors.

Clipboard

When you copy a color, the app writes that color text (for example a HEX or RGB value) to the clipboard. When you paste, the app reads the content of that paste so it can import a color code or an image. It does not watch the clipboard in the background.

Data stored on your PC

The app saves a local file on your device with:

This file is not sent to us. You can clear history inside the app. Removing BK Picker from the Microsoft Store removes the app’s local data with the package.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email address, account, location, contacts, or payment details. The app has no advertising and does not send analytics or crash reports to us. We do not sell or share personal information.

Microsoft Store

If you install BK Picker from the Microsoft Store, Microsoft processes account and download information under its own privacy statement at privacy.microsoft.com. We do not receive that information.

Children

BK Picker is a general-purpose utility. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
